Boozhoo Parents and Guardians of Red Lake Elementary!

On Thursday, March 31, 2022, we will host parent-teacher conferences. Parents and Guardians may choose to attend in-person or virtually (i.e., phone call, video conference). Please check out the plans for activities in the building! Conferences run from 2 – 7:15 PM; doors close at 7 PM.

School will run from 8 AM – 1:35 PM. We will begin loading buses at 1:35 PM. Parents picking up students will take place between 1:35 – 1:45 PM.

Dinner will be served! 4 PM – 6:30 PM (Cafeteria) Chili, crackers, dinner roll, salad, cantaloupe, pineapple chunks, milk, chocolate milk, water

Art Walk, K-5 (Throughout building) Student work will be on display Please walk around & check out their beautiful creations!

One School, One Book Kick-off (Grades 3-5 @ RLES Media Center) Show times – 2:30, 3:45, 5:00, & 6:15 PM (Also available on Facebook April 1) pick up your book package with your child's teacher

COVID-19 test kits available (Room 734, near Door 1 main entry)

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL:

Toolkit for Home Come learn about what we have in place to support social emotional needs of our students – from classroom calm spaces to calm rooms, from breathing techniques to tools.

Resources available to take home!

Three locations:

K-1 Calm Room by main office, 2-3 Calm Room near Turtle, 4-5 Calm Room by Media Center

CULTURE:

Ojibwe Language & Culture Resources Come learn about what we do at RLEC including embedding the language into the classroom, activities, push in classes, library resources, Exploratory, and Targeted Services Drum & Dance. Resources available to take home!

Location: Dreamcatcher Commons

As part of the safety protocol, we will begin using our Raptor system on April 4, which creates unique visitor badges. If you have not been set up before, conferences will be a great time to visit the guards to get set up in our system and ask any questions. Just need a picture ID!
