Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all eligible voters of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians received an Election Announcement and form to request an Absentee Ballot for Red Lake Band's 2022 General Election.
If you do not plan on voting in person at one of polling sites or by coming to vote at the Red Lake Nation Government Center; it is strongly encouraged that you complete your request for absentee ballot form and send it back to the tribes Election Rep./Vendor AES as soon as possible, to allow for mail processing.
*If your mailing address has changed since December 2021 and you have not updated your address with the Red Lake Nation Enrollment Dept. or if you did not receive a request in the mail, you may call the Absentee Ballot Committee at 218-679-1331.

IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION
TO: MEMBERS OF THE RED LAKE BAND OF CHIPPEWA INDIANS
DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, the Secretary's representative of the Tribal Council
(AES Services, P.O. Box 44607, Rio Rancho, NM. 57174) furnished a form to be used in requesting a ballot to each voter whose address is known with the election announcement.

UPON RECEIPT OF REQUEST FOR ABSENTEE BALLOT FORM:
AES SERVICES shall mail to such voter an absentee ballot. Upon receiving your absentee ballot, follow instructions included and return as soon as possible. Absentee ballots are due by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

ABSENTEE BALLOT VOTING IS AVAILABLE AT THE RED LAKE GOVERNMENT CENTER
Monday, March 14, 2022 through Wednesday, May 17, 2022
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In addition, the absentee ballot committee will be available on
Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
May 7th & 8th, and May 14th & 15th, 2022
to distribute and receive, in person absentee ballots at the Red Lake Government Center.

Polls open 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Absentee ballots are due by 8:00 p.m.
Absentee ballot voting will be available at the Red Lake Government Center on
Election Day from 8AM-8PM
Curbside voting will be available at each location. For more information, please call 218-679-1331
Voters are strongly encouraged to use Absentee voting whether reservation residents or otherwise. Requesting an absentee ballot will NOT change your residency. Absentee voting will be the preferred method to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
