Jay loved his family and friends, and they always knew they were welcome in his home. This was where many good times were enjoyed, lots of storytelling, joking around and teasing. Darrell's Bar was the local watering hole, and Jay met his old friends there and made new friends there.

Jay may not have said it often, but he loved his family with his whole heart, and his friends meant the world to him.

Jay's loving family include his brother Wesley Young and sister Trudy (Clint) LaRoque, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lawrence Dean Young and Tronson Young, sister Cleo Hapa and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
