Mariah Bineshii Luzius, age 39, of Bemidji, Minnesota, entered the spirit world on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Mariah was born in Northern Township, Beltrami County, on February 10, 1983, to Louis Boyd and Michelle Luzius. She was raised in Bemidji and attended Bemidji schools, graduating from high school and going to college for a time. Mariah met Elroy Iceman, the love of her life, and together they had four daughters – Jasmine, Ezryel, Elexis and Eleasia. She worked as a personal care assistant for a while, but her special place was being home.

Mariah is remembered as an energetic woman with lots of friends. She loved everyone, even while going through struggles of her own. She loved to talk and tell stories and being in the company of friends. She enjoyed watching movies, especially crime shows, and drinking coffee. Part of her regular routine was taking time with her makeup, liking the way it made her feel to look nice. She will be missed by her many friends and family.

Mariah leaves behind her father Louis Boyd; mother Michele Luzius; significant other Elroy Iceman; daughters Jasmine Iceman (William Lohnes), Ezryel Iceman (Anthony Graves), Elexis Iceman, and Eleasia Iceman; grandchild Waaseyaa Graves; brothers Jace Pratt, Brad Boyd, Cole Luzius, Zack, and Randall; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her dog Nala. Waiting to greet her in the spirit world are her sister Dawn Boyd; nephew Damon Boyd; brother Michael Boyd; grandparents Mary and Alvina Belgarde Luzius, Joseph Walter Luzius, Elizabeth Washington Boyd, and Alvin Boyd.

A wake for Mariah will begin on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 5:00pm, at the Leech Lake Facility Center, Cass Lake, MN, and will continue until the service on Sunday, February 20, at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be Cole Luzius, Elbert "Chuck" White, Sr., Elroy Iceman, Brad Boyd, Jace Pratt, and William Lohnes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kristy Iceman, Kiylea Iceman, and Jen Zeller.
