Forty-Two Candidates file for 7 Red Lake Tribal Council seats

General Election to take place on May 18, 2022

RED LAKE, MN - Forty-two Red Lake Band members filed for 7 Red Lake Tribal Council seats at the close of business on February 16, 2022.

Election Day is on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 with poll open from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Filing for Tribal Chairman were Darrell G. Seki, Sr., Incumbent, Floyd "Buck" Jourdain, Angela M. Chaboyea, Lydell J. Roberts and Darwin Sumner.

Filing for Tribal Secretary were Samuel R. Strong, Incumbent and Tim Sumner.

Filing for Tribal Trreasurer were Annette Johnson, Incumbent, Vernelle R. Lussier and Martina M. Beaulieu.

Filing for Red Lake District Representative were Donald L. Good, Sr., Incumbent, Julie A. Stately, Michael W. Needham, Clem H. May, Sr., Nicole E. Desjarlait, David F. Desjarlait, Clayton D. Strong, Sr., Mark R. Kingbird, Sr., Martera F. Nelson, Cherilyn R. Spears, Mark A. Sigana, Robert L. May, Leland D. Lussier, Jr., and Charles G. Martin.

Filing for Redby District Representative were Harold E. Graves, Jr., Jeanne R. Thunder, Herman D. Donnell, Gary R. Auginash, Sr., Donovan P. English, Lester G. Loud, Sheldon W. Brown and Maureen K. Lyons.

Filing for Littlerock District Representative were Adrian Beaulieu, Incumbent, Tashina L. Branchaud, Cheryl M. Thomas, James J. Drouillard, Jr., and Harlow Spears.

Filing for Ponemah District Representative were Randall W. Kingbird, Aaron W. Jones, Brandon E. Raincloud, Eugene R. StandingCloud, Scott W. Perkins.

Candidates will be certified by March 9, 2022.
