This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A strong cold front will move through the region tonight, with winds gusting up to 55 mph along and behind. Temperatures will quickly drop, leading to potentially icy conditions. An area of falling snow, when combined with the strong winds will lead to blizzard conditions within the Red River Valley, with similar but slightly less impactful conditions on either side of the valley.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Blizzard conditions within the Red River Valley will be dependent on the persistence of snow showers combined with the strong winds to reduce visibility. North winds gusting up to 55 mph is certain, however how long blizzard conditions continue into Friday is uncertain. The strong winds gusting up to 55 mph will continue into Friday afternoon.
