Joshua "Josh" Perkins, Maniidoo Ininiin – "Spirit Man", age 31, of Ponemah, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Fargo, ND.

Josh was born on July 13, 1990, in Bemidji, MN to Melissa Perkins-Kingbird. He attended school in Red Lake and grew up in Ponemah. He ventured out to Moorhead and later Bemidji. He was fun to be around, had a great sense of humor and was always joking around. He loved to go play pool and enjoyed hanging out with his bros, Brad and Ron.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Melissa Perkins-Kingbird and step-father, James "Yummy" Kingbird; sisters: Shayla (Tony) Hardy, Cheyenne (Myron, Jr.) Hardy, Jasinda Kingbird, Branigan Patterson and Colette Patterson; brothers: Seth (Sophia) Glynn and Ryan Cloud; special aunt, Melinda (T'Jay) Spears; special brothers: Ron Pepworth, Brad Weiss and Scott Perkins; aunts: Robyn (Scott) Johnson, Charlotte (Darren) Iceman, Patricia Perkins and Cherilyn Johns; uncles: Ron (Darilyn) Perkins, Edward (Annie) Perkins, Curtis Perkins and Bruce Johns; nieces: Ariana Cloud and Mariah Cloud; nephews: Gage Cloud and Antone Cloud, Jr. as well as many other relatives and friends.

Those greeting Josh in the spirit world are his grandmother who raised him, Margaret "Muggs" Perkins; grandfather, Joseph Johns; great-grandparents, Grover and Irene Dow; sister, Chasidy Michelle Hardy; uncle Mitchell Perkins and cousins: Breanna and Bethany Perkins.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 14, 2022. Allen Hardy will be the spiritual leader. Casketbearers will be: Scott Perkins, Wayne "Moose" Johnson, Terrence Perkins, Ron Pepworth, Seth Glynn, Jeremy Brown and Dewayne Dow, Jr. Alternates will be Brad Weiss and Brett Dow. Honorary casketbearers will be: Shantell Jones, Allie Cook, Randi Burris, Jeremy Bush, Dino Perkins, Dusty Perkins, Jordan Dow, Torrey Brown, Wes Jones, Darren Iceman, Sr., Brian Dow, Dawna Whitefeather, Tracy Whitefeather, Melvin Whitefeather, Jr., Antone Cloud, Sr. and Myron Cobenais, Jr. Burial will be at the Ponemah Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah.
