St. Paul woman pleads guilty to shooting husband, burying him in yard

A St. Paul woman accused of killing her ex-husband and burying him in the backyard pleaded guilty last week to intentional second-degree murder.

Karina See Her, 40, pleaded guilty Feb. 2 in Ramsey County District Court. She faces up to 22 years in prison for shooting Kou Yang, 50, twice in the head last summer.

Authorities found Yang’s body after a Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension crime scene team excavated an area beneath a shed that Her had erected to conceal the area she had dug up.
