Jason Scott Jones, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Red Lake, MN.

Jason was born on August 14, 1975, in Red Lake, MN to Marilyn Jones. He graduated from South High School in Minneapolis. Jason enjoyed cooking and was famous for his fry bread and giving tattoos to his friends, cousins and nieces. He was gifted with his hands and enjoyed doing artwork, beadwork and working on cars. Jason was a jack of all trades and there wasn't much he couldn't do. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his mother and was her official casino chauffer. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Marilyn Jones; siblings: Shannon Jones, Brian K. Jones and Garrett Jones; special brother, Cody Jones, who his mother raised; six children: Jamie Jones, Khloe Jones, Lori Jones, Noah Jones, Elias Lundmark and Damien Speltz; two special sons: Anthony and Darian Smith; two granddaughters: Chasity and Hailey; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents: Theodore and Pauline Jones; his brother, Derek Jones; sister, Lori Jones and many other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Redby Center in Redby and continue until the service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with Pastor Tom Pollock officiating. Active casketbearers will be: Darian Smith, Anthony Smith, Terry Jourdain, John Jourdain, Gordon Jones and Ryan Jones. Alternates will be: Marc Jones, Marlin Black, Jr., Deondre Jones, Joel Jones, Alan Jones and Rick Jones. Honorary casketbearers will be: Alfred Berg, Gilbert Juarez, Gary Auginash, Sr., Salina Jones, Pat Pierre, Francis Neadeau, Amanda Neadeau, Verlin "Itto" Kingbird, Randy Benais, Theresa Smith, Shaleisha White, Rodney Stillday and Deliah Cloud.
