Stanley Lewis Hare

Stanley Lewis Hare, 63, of Cass Lake, MN died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Cass Lake Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN with Lenny Fineday officiating. A wake will begin at 4:00pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Cass Lake Facility Center and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the Old Agency Catholic Cemetery in Onigum, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji assisted the family.

Stan was born on February 13, 1958 in Deer River, MN, the son of Herald and Hazel (White) Hare. He was raised and educated in Remer, attending Northland High School until his father passed away in a tragic logging accident in 1973. In 1976, the family moved to Cass Lake. It was there that he and his brothers were taught traditional songs and they started the Oak Point Drum Group. He was a logger with his family. He worked in maintenance at the Park & Rec and at the Leech Lake Casino and Facility Center. He liked going to the Casino, hunting, ricing, fishing, riding the back roads, watching scary movies and visiting while sitting under his infamous shade tree in his yard with all his family and friends. He would always have his arms open to his children and grandkids and always helped out when he could.

He is survived by his daughters Tara Ann Hare of Cass Lake,

Francis Leigh (Kyle) Fisherman of Mounds View, MN,

Kelly Brown of Mpls,

Kim Raisch of Detroit Lakes, MN,

Kari Elaine Fisherman of Cass Lake,

Numerous grandchildren,

brothers- Ron, Anthony and David (Paula) Hare,

sister Patsy Gordon,

and many nieces and nephews

and special friend Autumn "Happy" Harper and special friend Lawrence "Boy" Hart, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jessie Brown, brothers- Ray, Kenneth, Thomas, Almon, and Rick Hare, nephew Anthony Hare and niece Jessica Staples.

Active Casketbearers will be Daryl Fisherman, Darian Fisherman, Jordan Micttinen, Sr., Josh Hare, Aaron Hare, Ricky Hare with alternates Tony Hare and Kyle Spiegelberg and David Hare, Jr..

Honorary Casketbearers will be "Boy" Hart, Ray "Bro" Losh, special friend "Happy" Autumn Harper, Theresa "Tree Frog" Jourdain, special grandson Kordell Micttinen, his daughters and grandchildren and a lot of family and friends.
