Ethel B. Beaulieu was born September 15, 1926 in Red Lake, MN to Charles and Alice Beaulieu. Ethel enjoyed school and continued to be a learner until her passing. She was an avid reader and loved reading newspapers, Nicholas Sparks and anything to do with President John F. Kennedy. She retired after 35 years from the Indian Health service. At the time of her retirement, she was the Service Unit Director of the Red Lake Indian Hospital. After her retirement she volunteered at St. Philip's Catholic Church and KAWE Lakeland public television. She started a part time job with Beltrami County Nursing Service. She was able to work with some great people and continue to type using a manual typewriter (which she loved). Ethel retired from the nursing service and started to babysit for Ken and Kari in Cass Lake. She made the drive to Cass Lake with Duane to babysit all three of their great grandkids. That continued for 6 years. Ethel enjoyed spending quality time with Kendra, Christopher and Madisen. She kept busy by reading, singing and rocking kids in the rocking chair. Duane and Ethel were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake and St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji. Ethel enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to watch the birds from the deck window. She was an awesome storyteller. She loved to reminisce about her childhood, her marriage and her many memories of taking care of her great grandkids. Ethel missed Duane everyday and thought about him all the time. She loved God and always believed she would be reunited in heaven with her departed family members. We believe she is up in heaven dancing the waltz with the love of her life, Duane.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Georgia (Tutter) Downwind; sons, Allen D. Pemberton and Dave Dudley and her grandchildren, Kristine (Doug) White, Kari (Ken) Washington, Kendra (Jordan) Oelke, Christopher (Christine) Washington, Madisen (Zach) Washington, Jasmine Downwind, Leilane Downwind, Douglas "Brother" Downwind, Mirabel Downwind, Willow (John) LeBlanc and Michelle (Pat) Graves and sister, Joyce Barrett; great-great grandkids, Haylen Oelke & Aiden Olson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice G. Beaulieu; husband, Duane; sisters, Beverly Beaulieu, Doris Brown, Arlene Sumner and Brenda Landgraf; brothers, Emerson Beaulieu and Ralph Beaulieu.
