Barbara Ann Omaha, "Negoni esay equay" (Leading Woman) age 79, of Burnsville Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at Fairview Ridges Hospital.

She was born on June 26, 1942 in Cass Lake, Minnesota the daughter Gladys (Smith) Cain and Arthur Jones.

Barbara was a proud member of Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Barbara was raised by her maternal grandmother Esther Smith where Barbara experienced the start of her spiritual learning, she would go with her grandmother in the woods to pick herbal medicines to help people. Barbara later in life began learning the spiritual lifestyle of Lakota ceremonies and sundance; which was a big part of her life.

Family was very important to her, especially keeping them together.

She enjoyed bingo and traveling.

Survived by seven children: Bradley Senogles, Angela (David) Bowen, Allison Senogles, Alisa (Thomas) Goodshield, Buster Senogles, Margaret Senogles and Arlana (Brandon) Omaha; thirty two grandchildren and forty one great grandchildren; Special Grand daughter Zeegwanense Martin, plus several adopted and spiritual grand and great grandchildren; nine siblings; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by a son Antoine "Tony" Senogles, her parents and by siblings Suzanne Cain, Richard, Violet & Priscilla Jones and by a grandson Manuel Archambault and a great granddaughter Charley Rose Senogles.
