Marilyn "Porky" Kay Smith, age 58, of Red Lake, MN and the Martin Clan, journeyed to the spirit world on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from Meadow Lane Nursing Home in Benson, MN. She was born on June 6, 1963, in Red Lake, the daughter of Delores (Pierre) and Herbert Benedict Smith, Sr.

Marilyn loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the birds and animals, she would keep food out for the bear, turkey, and hummingbirds. She liked to watch her tv shows, NCSI, Lifetime, and The Price is Right, along with doing her word search books. Marilyn loved working at the Casinos, and it showed when she was "employee of the month".

Those Marilyn joins in the spirit world are her parents, Delores and Herbert Smith, Sr .; daughter, Melissa Butcher; brothers, Clinton, Gary, and Elroy Smith; sisters, Kathleen, Marjorie, Beverly, and Thelma Smith; grandson, Jayden Jones; grand-daughter, Waubigwaunwaniece "Little Flower" Smith; father of children, Benjamin Cloud, Sr .; and her significant other, Raymond Barrett.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Marilyn are her sons, Davis (Victoria) Smith, Sr. of Laporte, MN, Benjamin Cloud, Jr. and Dakota Cloud both of Red Lake; daughters, Clarissa (Torrey) Smith of Redby, MN, Lisa (Andrew) Butcher of Red Lake, Alyssa Bellanger of Fargo, ND, and Dolly Cloud of Red Lake; brother, Herbert (Colleen) Smith, Jr. of Cass Lake, MN; sisters, Berta (Bill) Smith of Cass Lake, Diane Smith of Red Lake, Vicky (Peter) Smith of Redby, Tracy Smith of Minneapolis, MN, Patricia Smith of Redby, and Clarice Cloud of Red Lake; 23 grandchildren and 2 more on the way; numerous other family members and friends.

A wake for Marilyn will begin on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. and continue until her Saturday, January 1, 2022, 1:00 p.m. service, all to be held at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. Those helping to lay Marilyn to rest will be Andrew Andrews, Benjamin Cloud, Jr., Daniel Smith, Davis Smith, Sr., Bear Smith, and Trevor Rosebear. Honorary pallbearers are all her family and friends. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN.
