Wayne Lee Thompson Potter Journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his residence in Elk River, Minnesota. He was born on November 22, 1987 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Wayne Thompson and Shelly Potter.

Wayne grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Pillsbury Elementary School in North East, Minneapolis, Minnesota, attended Coon Rapids Middle School and graduated from Coon Rapids High School. He worked in Carpentry, had a welding degree, and took CPR classes. Wayne was a very caring person, he cherished his family, especially his kids.

Wayne leaves behind his mom: Shelly Potter of Anoka, Minnesota; two children: Wayne Jr. and Cameron Potter and his significant other; Desiree Baldy of Elk River, Minnesota; Two sisters: Rochelle Potter – Stone and Krista Thomas of Minneapolis, Minnesota; four brothers: Jory Potter of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Simon Potter of Ostego, Minnesota; Michael (MacKenzie) Thomas of Champlin, Minnesota; Edward Swan of Mahnomen, Minnesota; many other loving relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father: Wayne “Josh” Thompson; grandparents: Joseph Anthony Potter, Edward Thompson and Carrie Sayers – Thompson; many other loving relatives and friends.

All-night visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A funeral service for Wayne Thompson Potter will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Officiating Fred Desjarlait.

South Side Ramblers will be the Drum Group and special music by Kayden Jackson.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Wayne’s loving family and friends.

Casket Bearers will be Joel Potter, Will Potter, Bill Tanner, Antwan Gilbert, Reginald Mcquirter, Justin Feeman and Louis Jones.

Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota
