Lynda Ann Erickson, age 66, of Red Lake, Minnesota journeyed home to the spirit world from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND after a lengthy illness on Sunday, December 12th, 2021.

Lynda was one of four girls born to Katherine (Blue) and Oliver "Gub" Erickson. She was born on Tuesday, November 1st, 1955 in Red Lake, MN. Lynda grew up and lived in Red Lake most of her life and worked for Red Lake Gaming for many years before taking a job with the Red Lake School as a cook. She was extremely dedicated to her job and feeding the kids who needed a little extra food, even though it would get her in trouble now and then. Lynda was an amazing cook, cooking everything from scratch. Some of her best dishes were her homemade salsa, with veggies right from her garden, and her chocolate cake. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, watching games shows and cooking shows. Lynda had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed a good laugh.

Family that Lynda is reunited with are her parents; Katherine and Oliver, sister and brother in-law; Janis and Charles Kelly, Sr., niece; Shelby Lussier, brother in-law; Russell Lussier and several other relatives.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons; Lee Erickson of Red Lake and Jamie Erickson of Bemidji, sisters; Debra Lussier and Sherri Erickson, a granddaughter; Kimora Erickson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her many friends.

An overnight wake for Lynda will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17th and continue until her 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, December 18th all to be held at the New Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Lynda will be Herb Tarnow, Andrew Erickson, Oliver Erickson, Jalen Kelly, Charles Kelly, Jr., and Nathaniel Spears-Stately. Her honorary pallbearers are Judy Roy, Sheri Good, Melba "Pumpkin" Roy, Evon Spears, Katherine Jodi Beaulieu and Gina King. At Lynda's request, her cremains will remain in the care of her sons.
