Frances Suzanne Raiford, "Mukwa Ikwe" meaning Bear Woman, age 63, of Red Lake, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from The Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. She was born in Detroit, MI, to Irene Conture and Frank Garcia and adopted and raised by Kevin Hart, Sr.

Frances enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her family with all her heart. She was a loving and caring mother. She enjoyed playing Phase 10, Cribbage, and 10,000. She loved her music, Natty's, and her smoke. She was a generous and thoughtful person; she would give you the shirt off her back if it would help you out. She loved her animals, baking, cooking, sewing, and traveling. She was enjoying life and enjoying the world, as she traveled. She was a very creative person, she had amazing artwork.

Those Frances will join in the spirit world are her biological parents, Irene Conture and Frank Garcia; sister, Andrea Mena; daughters, Stephanie Lawrence and Theresa Lawrence; and the father of her children, Terrance Lee Wind, Sr.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Frances are her sons, Nodin Wind and Terrance (Arianna) Lee Wind, Jr .; daughter, Star Wind; brothers, Ralph Raiford, Kevin (Tammy Jo) Hart, Jr., Lance (Oralia) Hart; sisters, Charlotte Clark, Serena "Kwey" Hart, father, Kevin Hart, Sr .; grandchildren, Chazz Lawrence, Rashaun Lawrence, Todd Barrett, Jr., Arlan Ehrich IV, Leslie Wind, Anthony Robinson, Darwin Robinson, Jr., Olivia Cronin, Sierra Cronin, and baby Theresa Ann Wind.

A two-night wake for Frances will begin Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. and continue until her Thursday, December 16, 2021, 11:00 a.m. service, all to be held at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, with Spiritual Advisor Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Frances to rest will be Chazz Lawrence, Rashaun Lawrence, Todd Barrett, Jr., David Cronin, Arlan Ehrich IV, Leslie Roy Wind, Dakota Strong and Jordan Lussier. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Redden, Lee Redden, Harley Hart, Kevin Hart, Jr., Lance Hart, Tammy Hart, Charlotte Clark, Adrian Clark, Sherry Christianson, Amanda Mena, Frances Mena, Serena "Kwey" Hart, Cheryl Wind, Olivia Cronin, Sierra Cronin, and Tashia Hart. Per Frances' wishes her cremains will be cared for by her sons.
