YMCA Collaborates with UnitedHealthcare to Provide 2,500 Household Kits for Those in Need

Minneapolis, MN – The YMCA of the North, a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, is partnering with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) to distribute 2,500 household kits for people in need in the community.

UHC donated household kits of essential items such as dish soap, sponges, toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue and napkins to the YMCA to provide participants in Y programs including Neighborhood Centers, New American Welcome Centers and Youth and Family Services.

“The YMCA is committed with its volunteers and partners to serve hundreds of thousands of people a day who need a helping hand in our community,” said Glen Gunderson, president of the Y. “The Y is grateful for UnitedHealthcare donating much needed essential items to help families with their wellbeing needs.”

Please note: Food will also be distributed to those in need. Funding for food provided by Hennepin County ARP Food Insecurity Program
