Paul Charles Hill "Miignen", of Red Lake, Minnesota, began his journey to the spirit world on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Paul was born on December 8, 1979, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Linda (Hill) Mattson. Paul attended school in Minneapolis, graduated from high school, and later took classes at the American Indian OIC and received a certificate in computer technology. He moved to Red Lake for a time and returned to Minneapolis, where he met the love of his life, Lisa White. Together they had two daughters Madison and Brooklyn. The family moved back to Red Lake, where Paul was able to enjoy hunting and fishing, his favorite activities. He was hardworking, using his knowledge and skills in auto mechanics and construction and did contract work for Red Lake Housing.

Paul is remembered as a happy person, who loved spending time with his daughters and nieces and nephews. They remember him encouraging them to always do better. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed.

Left behind to cherish his memory are daughters Madison Hill and Brooklyn Hill; brothers Justin Richards (Alyssa White), Sam Richards and Reid Richards; sister Alicia Richards (Mario Iceman); uncles Jeremy (LouAnn) Hill and Greg Hill. Waiting to greet Paul on his journey are his mother Linda Hill; grandparents Alice and Frank Hill; cousins Bonita Hill and Stacy Hill; aunt Bonita Hill; and uncles Faron Hill and Darrel Hill.

A wake for Paul will begin Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 5:00pm at the Red Lake Center, Red Lake, MN, and will continue until his service on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 11:00am. Nadbek Liberty will serve as Spiritual Adviser. Casketbearers will be Leonard Spears, Dan Tsol, Jeremy Tsol, Rodger Green, Greg Hill, Sheldon Hill, and Jeremy Hill. Honorary casketbearers will be Brooklyn and Madison Hill, Dale Johns, Baby Guy Johns, Thomas Johns, Daniel White, Leroy Garrigan, George Schoenborn, Frank Gurro, Calvin Kingbird, Jacob Meelander, Marvin White, and Calvin White. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake, Minnesota.
