Lucy Jane Barrett, "Miskwananiisiik-Ikwe" which means Red Tailed Hawk Woman, passed away on November 22nd, 2021, at Cass Lake IHS in Cass Lake MN.

Lucy was born on April 12th, 1983, in Red Lake MN. to Louis Barrett Sr. and Connie Chaboyea. She was raised in Red Lake and attended school at Red Lake High and Riverside Indian School in Anadarko Oklahoma

Lucy loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She liked to take a cruise to Cedar Lakes to play her favorite game "China Shores" and she never went a day without her scratchies or her Caramel Frappes. She was known for helping whoever she could. She loved to cook and invite people over to eat.

Lucy is survived by her Mother Connie Chaboyea, Father Louis Barrett Sr. and Grandmother Lorraine Chaboyea, Daughters; Lacy Sayers, Macy (Chandler) Sayers, Jessleigh King; sons, Dominic Cook, John Henry Barrett, Jarvis King Jr. and Courtney Whitefeather; 3 grandchildren whom she loved so much, Grandsons; Melikai Sayers and Markel Lussier and Granddaughter; "Grandmas tiny turtle" Amarah May; Siblings, Bill Chaboyea, Lori (Al) Beaulieu, Clarence Barrett, Rhiannon (Tim) Sumner, Sonnie (Delwyn) Barrett and Kiiyalan Lussier

She is proceeded in death by her Grandfathers David Chaboyea and John Henry Barrett, Grandmother Cleona Barrett, Brother Louis Barrett Jr. and son Jacy Barrett

Active Casketbearers will be Craig Roy, Jerrick DeMarris, Del English, Clarence Barrett, Bill Chaboyea, Marcus Beaulieu, Tre Graves, Marvin Schoenborn Sr., Chandler May, Hunter Barrett, Ricky Chaboyea, Vincent Johns and K.J. Needham
