A Message from Jourdain Perpich Extended Care Center

November 22, 2021

To Our Residents and Family Members and Community:

We want to inform you that we have received confirmation that 2 residents at Jourdain Perpich Extended Care Center (JPECC) have been diagnosed with COVID-19. We have tested all residents and will continue testing several times per week. Resident safety is our top priority and we are doing everything we can to ensure we prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our facility. We are staying in very close communication with local and state health officials to ensure we are taking all the appropriate steps.

Residents with confirmed COVID-19 infection in transmission-based precautions should not have visitors until they are released from transmission-based precautions. Compassionate care visits, essential caregivers, and visits required under state and federal disability rights laws are allowed at all times.

JPECC strongly encourages that visitation of residents be done by phone and/or video, outdoors with precautions or at the window. The community transmission of Covid-19 is currently very high and all of our residents are at a greater risk of having serious consequences from a Covid-19 infection.

This is a difficult time for everyone and we will continue to provide you with updates as they become available. We will contact you if your loved one is suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19.
