Remembering the life of....Randi (Randy) Jay Goodwin, age 57, died on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Sanford Fargo Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Chapel south of Bagley, MN, with the Pastor Chris Conger officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Bagley City Cemetery.

Randi was born in Bagley, MN on June 28, 1964, the son of Stanley and Hazel (Hill) Goodwin. He grew up in Ebro, MN and attended school in Bagley where he met his future wife Carrie Roue. He graduated in 1982. Randi joined the Marine Reserves shortly after graduation, later transferring to the MN National Guard, retiring after 20 years of service. Randi attended Alexandria Technical College, earning his degree in Law Enforcement. He served as a Conservation Officer for White Earth, later serving as Minnesota State Patrol Officer out of the station in Bemidji, Minnesota. Randi was the Director of Public Safety for White Earth, Executive Director for White Earth and finished his career at the time of his death at the State of Minnesota Department of Corrections as Tribal Liaison. Randi was very proud of his military and law enforcement service. Randi married Carrie Roue on December 1, 1984. They made their home in Tenstrike, MN and together they had 3 sons – Kyle, Cameron and Alexander. Randi loved holiday's and family gatherings. He enjoyed joking and teasing with everyone he met. He especially enjoyed every minute he got to spend with his 5 beautiful granddaughters and will forever be the best Papa in the world to them. Randi was a wonderful, giving husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle, and partner. He will be missed by all. He is now resting with our Lord and Savior.
