Latoya Lynn Schoenborn, 37, of Redby, MN died Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Red Lake Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Redby Community Center in Redby, MN with Pastor Tom Pollack officiating. A wake will begin Thursday afternoon at the Redby Community Center and continue until the time of her service.

Latoya was born September 16, 1984 in Red Lake, MN the daughter of Myron and Crystal (Schoenborn) Cobenais, Sr. She graduated from Red Lake High School and also made the Basketball 1,000 point club. She worked at the Red Lake Schools for 12 years but decided to resign and help raise her niece Lorynn, eventually Catty and Kinslee too. She was always fond of her nieces and nephews. She loved to spoil them with love and gifts as much as possible. She was always taking them on a mission somewhere. She was also known for being a jokester and for playing pranks on people. She loved playing basketball, softball, fishing and hunting with Vincent.

She is survived by her parents, Myron and Crystal Cobenais, sister, Charise (Sheldon) Schoenborn, brothers, Donovan (Brandee) Cobenais, and Myron (Cheyenne) Cobenais, Jr., nieces, Iciss, Lorynn, Cataleya, and Kinslee Schoenborn, nephews, Vincent Schoenborn, Kyle Martin, Jr., and Johnathon Martin, special nieces, Akira, Amira, Ah'laya Thunder, and Jasinda Kingbird, aunts, Daisy (Floyd) Fairbanks, Ricci May, Danielle May, Shonoah May, Michelle Cobenais, Lynelle Sue Roy and Ange Hernandez, uncles, Gordon (Crystal) Fairbanks, Richard (Annie) Defoe, Mathew (Demry) Thornhill, Alex Thornhill, Christopher Defoe, Gary Cobenais, and Mike Cobenais.

She was preceded in death by her beloved dog Glitter, grandparents, Lorna and Gordon Fairbanks, Dorothy and Wayne Cobenais, uncles, Loren Fairbanks, Donovan Schoenborn, Paul Thornhill, Ira Schoenborn, and Duane Cobenais, Jr.

Honorary casketbearers will be the Redby Lakers Softball Team, Cheyenne Hardy, Jessica Auginash, Ruth Auginash, April Barrett, Buffy Barrett, Loree Jackson, Gloria Jackson, Sam Jackson, Andi Cobenais, Alex Roy, Billie Jean King, Maddie Crowe, Missy Perkins, Val Schoenborn, Kaytlin Barton, Randy Thunder, Misty Dow, Alysha Beaulieu, Karyn Jourdain, Kristie Desjarlait, Becky Cook, Kaydence Schoenborn, Kelly Hill, Dionne Erickson, Kayla Kingbird, Mary Thunder, Danni Raincloud, Larissa Kingbird, Katie Perkins, and Ceann Cobenais.

Active casketbearers will be Duane "Boogs" Cobenais, Derrick Cobenais, Derald "Ola" Cobenais, Matthew Thunder, Chase Cobenais, Dion Thunder, Stephen Strong, Trevor Schoenborn, Avery Schoenborn, Rod Jackson, Vincent Schoenborn, Randy Benais, and Darion Cobenais.
