Hennepin County and Stearns County jails

Two people, one of them a convicted sex offender, were charged Tuesday in the beating death of a pregnant woman whose identity was unknown when her body was discovered last week in Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood.

Shannon Michael Benson, 42, of Minneapolis, and Jade M. Rissell, 27, of Elk River, each were charged in Hennepin County District Court in connection with the death of the woman, whose body was found Nov. 8 in a travel trailer parked in the 3500 block of Hennepin Avenue.

Both were jailed Sunday night by Minneapolis police on $1 million each and scheduled to appear Wednesday in court. Records do not list an attorney for either of them.

The Benson guy is a sick and twisted person and was infatuated with the girl to a super stalker level. He needs to be put down or away for ever he is a sexual predator as well. This girl. Shouldn't get any leniency in her part. It hurts so much to know that this could have been prevented. And that she would still be alive as she could have saved her self from hanging with this kinda filth. There's a special place in hell for these 2 waiting for them. Hopefully they see that soon .
