HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST

RATE OF PAY: Depending on qualifications

LOCATION: Seven Clans Casinos – Thief River Falls, MN

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Under the general supervision of the Human Resource Manager, the HR Specialist is responsible to perform a variety of complex and responsible duties related to the day-to-day supervision of associate relations functions including associate and supervisory counseling and problem solving of Seven Clans Casino.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Introduces himself/herself by name and asks the client how they may be of assistance.

 Provides directions or information to the clients as may be required.

 Gathers, compiles information and prepares associate relations related reports.

 Explains the human resources policies and procedures, employment rules, laws, contracts or procedures to associates and members of the leadership team.

 Provides support for the managers; coordinate flow of communications; drafts correspondence and other material as required.

 Makes routine decisions and directs activities in accordance with authority.

 Gathers, reviews, and compiles information and prepares accurate and comprehensive reports and surveys with deadlines as assigned.

 Maintains records and prepare notices and documents in connection with corrective counseling, disciplinary actions, and layoffs.

 Prepares correspondence independently on matters not requiring personal attention of Manager.

 Prepares a variety of communicative subject matter that may include privileged and highly sensitive material.

 Plans, develops, and implements office procedures as needed.

 Reports to work, takes authorized breaks, and completes shift as scheduled. Notifies supervisor in accordance with procedures when unable to do so.

 Ensures strict confidentiality when dealing with restricted company materials and employee information.

 Complies with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.

 Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED with related experience preferred
