Regina "Gina" M. Rushman, age 33, of Ponemah, MN, journeyed to the spirit world on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Gina was born on September 14, 1988, in Bemidji, MN to Robert and Elsie (Kingbird) Rushman. She graduated from Red Lake High School. She made her home in Ponemah and was blessed with four children: Fox, Forest, Trunks and Emerald. Over the years she worked for Ponemah Trading Post, Seven Clans Casino and for Four Directions Development, but being a mother was always her most important job. Gina was athletic and loved to play softball, basketball and enjoyed practicing her UFC moves on family and friends. She liked to go to the casino and was lucky at the slots! Gina always had a smile on her face and was the person you called when you needed advice or just an ear to listen. She was friendly and enjoyed meeting new people. Above all, she loved her family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Fox Hurd, Forest Hurd, Trunks Hurd and Emerald Hurd; her significant other and father of her children: Chris Hurd; her parents: Robert and Elsie Rushman; siblings: Meredeth (Aeyshea Larson) Kingbird, Cheyenne (Kristie Theis) Kingbird, Crystal (Isaac) Halfred, Marshall Kingbird, Sara (Tyler) Johnson, Robert (Sherrill Stillday) Rushman, Jr. and Zach Rushman, Sr .; special sisters: Jonessa "JoJo" Kingbird, Sheanna Norcross and Tara Ryan; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Those meeting her in the spirit world are: her infant child; her maternal grandparents: Fred and Sarah Kingbird; paternal grandparents: Henry and Izzetta Rushman; nephew, Jacob Kingbird; nieces: Bella Kingbirdand Lily Iceman; aunts: Verna Kingbird, Regina French, Lillian Jones, Grace Perkins, Elsie Brouyer and Debra Rushman; uncles: Gerry Kingbird, Fred Kingbird, Jr., and Roland Iceman, Sr .; cousins: Conrad Kingbird, Cheyanne Rushman and Daniel Rushman.

The wake will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 12, 2021 with Zac Earley as spiritual leader. The casketbearers will be: Doug Redeagle, Mike VanWert, Chad Hurd, Cheyenne Kingbird, Robert Rushman, Jr., Mickey French and alternate, Damain Kingbird. Honorary casketbearers will be: Sara Johnson, Tara Ryan, Lisa Johnson, Dolly Iceman, Tracy Whitefeather, Shaulissa Kingbird, Kristie Theis, Donna Johnson, Sheanna Norcross, Pearl Norcross, Lakota Whitefeather, Chanelle Rushman and Gina Hurd.
