Christy L. Drift, 38, of Sioux Falls, Iowa, died Thursday October 29th 2021.

She was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1983, she grew up in St. Paul, MN. She resided in the twin cities area for many years before she moved to Sioux City, Iowa. She was a member of The Bois Forte Band of Chippewa.

She enjoyed playing basketball in high school and she went to school for cosmetology. When it came down to her family, she would do anything for them. Her siblings loved her dearly.

She is survived by Trisha Drift of Eveleth, Derek Lowry of Duluth, Terri Drift of Duluth, Kelly Lumbar of Tower, Pat Drift of Grand Rapids, Elyce Drift of Cass Lake, Nicole Drift of Ballclub, Christopher Drift of Stillwater, Cecelia Drift of Onamia, Daniell Drift of St. Paul, Brianna Sheffield of Duluth and Justina Drift.

She was also survived by three children, Xander Drift, Ingoozis Drift and Alameda Drift.

Christy is proceeded in death by Judy M Drift, Devery J Drift, Joyce (Rod) Skadsheim, Deborah Drift, Ernest (Bunky) Drift Sr. and Ernest Drift Jr.

A Wake will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 starting at 5PM at the Bois Forte Government and Services Center. The Traditional Service will be held the next day on Saturday, November 6, at 10:00AM, also at the center.
