Marilyn Lois Young, 27 years young, began her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 from her home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born the daughter of Patricia Phonseya and Brian Young on January 18th, 1994 in Minneapolis, MN.

Marilyn absolutely loved her nephews and nieces and taking them to the park and the lake. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking, dancing, singing, taking pictures and going for her early morning walks.

Marilyn, you left us far to early and we will miss you every day.

Family that Marilyn is reunited with are her parents; Patricia and Paul Phonseya, Sr., sister; Hope Young, brother; Paul Phonseya, Jr., grandma; Marilyn Thompson, grandpa; John Wilke, auntie; Elizabeth "Lizza" Erickson, uncles; Noel "Ole" Thompson, Joe Blue, Chaz Thompson, Warren Tibbetts and William Thompson, niece; Aiianna Brown and numerous other family members.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her father; Brian Young, Sr., sisters; Trudy Magney of Bemidji, Blaze Thunder of Minneapolis, Tasheen Richardson of Remer and Ashley May of Bemidji, brothers; Peter Phonseya, Sr. of Remer and Brian Young, Jr. of Minneapolis, aunties; Missie Camacho, Karla Thompson, Jacqueline Daniels and Susan Oakquest, uncles; Peter "PJ" Thompson and Chris Leith, nephews; Sergio Phonseya-Wakonabo and Peter Phonseya, Jr., her significant other; Todd Pough,and too many cousins and friends to list.

Wake services for Marilyn will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6th and continue until her 11:00 a.m. traditional service on Monday, November 8th all to be held at the Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN. Helping to lay Marilyn to rest are Noel Cortez, Jace Pigeon, Gomer Thompson, Winter Cloud, Scott Roy, Sr., Eriko Isais, Lawrence "Lil One" Daniels, Harvey Nicholas and Jared Norton. Her honorary pallbearers are Sergio Phonseya-Wakonabo, Peter Phonseya, Jr., Peter Phonseya, Sr., Trudy Magney, Tasheen Richardson, Ashley May, Missie Camacho, Blaze Thunder, Shayla Pence, Brenda Pence, Alisa Thompson, Jaz Jones and all of the Thompson family. Interment will be in the Prince of Peace Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following her Monday services.
