Julie Ann "Okie" Hoell, 48, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Sanford Bagley Medical Center after battling with cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake, Minnesota. A wake will begin the evening before on Monday, November 1, 2021 starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Center. Interment will be held at St. Philip's Episcopal Cemetery in Rice Lake, Minnesota. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Julie was born on May 4, 1973 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Eunice Cloud and Richard Hoell. She graduated from North High School in Minneapolis. She worked various jobs through her life including Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America, the DOVE Program, and Kubiak's in Bagley. For being born and raised a city girl, Julie adapted to "country life" up North in Bagley quite well. She loved to hunt and fish, even cleaning her own game and catches. She enjoyed camping and family gatherings, and she always looked forward to a trip to the casino or to go shopping with her sister or mom. She was a kind woman and she will be tremendously missed.

She is survived by her mother, Eunice Elliot; her sister, Delaina Samuelson; her brothers, John Samuelson and Jay Samuelson; her favorite aunt, Cece Byrd; her special nephew, Josh Rainkins; her son, Jonathan (Hannah) Hoell; her grandchildren Kayden and Kale Howell; her special friend, Mary Tanner; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Elijah Hoell; her grandparents, James and Marie Cloud; and three aunts, Virginia, Philomene, and Veronica.
