Briana Bellanger, age 42, of Naytahwaush, MN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Briana Lea Bellanger, the daughter of Steven "Shuff" and Ruth (LaGarde) Bellanger, was born October 28, 1978, in Minneapolis, MN. Her early years were spent in Minneapolis, MN, before moving to Naytahwaush when she was three years old. Briana attended school in Naytahwaush followed by Mahnomen High School, graduating with the class of 1997. Briana entered the workforce as a Blackjack Dealer at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen and also worked as a home health aide. She furthered her education, attending classes at the White Earth Tribal College. She genuinely loved people and treasured her time spent with her nieces and nephews, who she lovingly helped raise. Briana met Dylan Magney and the couple has shared 10 years together living in the Naytahwaush, White Earth and most recently, Mahnomen. In her spare time, she could be found hanging out with friends, watching an NBA game, especially looking forward to watching her favorite player, Stephen Curry, and doing her hair and makeup. Briana was quick witted, outspoken, and always willing to help those in need. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.

Briana is survived by her brother, Brandon (Carissa Hanks) White; special nieces: Gerdy Whirlwindsoldier, Ja'Niya Hanks, Alyauna White and Aubrielle White; significant other, Dylan; sister, Angela Whirlwindsoldier; additional nieces and nephew: Marissa Whirlwindsoldier, Brayden Murray and Isabelle Murray; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shuff and Ruth; grandparents; nephews, Peyton Zornes and Steven Warren; and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, MN.

Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, and CDC guidelines, social distancing will be practiced. Masks are required at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex.
