Shirley Ann Cloud-Hardy

September 28, 1935 ~ October 12, 2021 (age 86)

Shirley Ann Cloud-Hardy, 86, of Deer River, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, from Essentia Hospital in Deer River, MN. She was born to Lucy (Roy) and Grover Cloud on September 28th, 1935, in Cass Lake, MN.

Shirley was always a very loving, caring and gentle woman, but in a stern kind of way. She was all about her family, especially her grandkids. She only wanted what was best for them and loved taking care of them whenever she could; making sure everyone was fed with her amazing breakfasts and her kick-ass fry bread. Shirley also looked after everyone in her community, making sure they had someplace to go. In her younger years, she used to hand make rugs, and beadwork and a lot of homemade breads. Shirley made sure she was ready by summer with all her grandkids Regalia outfits for the Powwows, going to powwows and watching her grandkids dance was one of her favorite things to do. When she needed to vent, she would meet up with her friends at the casino, a favorite as well. Shirley also loved to pass on the stories of the loved ones she had lost along the way. Her legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren.

Family that Shirley is reunited with are her husband; Richard, children; Gerald, Marian and Bradley, her parents; Lucy and Grover, four brothers, four sisters, great grandsons; Dallas, Eric Jr., Jeremy Jr. and Anthony, great granddaughter; Chloe and several more relatives.

She leaves behind her daughters; Sharlene and Myrna, son; Brian, grandchildren; Delainey and Marian Hardy, Dwayne Graciano, Eric Strong, Sr., Bradley Sr. and Angelica, Colin Sr. and Alicia Hardy, Gerald, Jeremy Sr., Carolyn and Sharla Jones, many many great grandkids and three great great grandkids; Anthony Washington, Alijah and Sofia Hardy, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
