Doreen Faye Staples, age 58, of Cass Lake, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Monday, September 27, 2021, from her home. She was born in Cass Lake, MN on January 24, 1963, the daughter of Donna Oachs and Delmer Staples.
Doreen enjoyed life, even after being involved in a terrible car accident, several years ago, that left her unable to drive again. She especially liked having family over to visit her and little fur baby Lola, who never left her side. Doreen loved her little dog and enjoyed staying home with her. Doreen was cared for by a PCA, who would take her for car rides and to the store when she wanted to go. Her smile will forever be missed.
She is welcomed to the spirit world by her son; Dion Staples, dad; Delmer Staples, significant other; James Tuttle, and uncle; LeRoy (Edna) Staples.
Doreen leaves behind her children; Jamie (Jared Westbrook) Tuttle and David Staples both of Cass Lake, her mother; Donna Oachs of Cass Lake, siblings; Christopher Staples of Bemidji, Yvonne Staples of Cass Lake and Michelle Rock of Minneapolis, her little dog; Lola, four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members and a bunch of friends.
An overnight wake will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, and continue until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Sunday, October 3rd all being held at the Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN. Helping to lay Doreen to rest are Jeff Brown, Jared Westbrook, Dylan Staples, Frank Tuttle, Ben White and Joe Brown. The alternate pallbearer is Dennis Brown, Sr. Her honorary pallbearers are all her family and friends. Interment will be in the Quill Lane Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN immediately following her Sunday service.
