Douglas "Funny" Clark, Jr., age 40, of Bemidji, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world from his home on Friday, September 24th, 2021.

He was born in Park Rapids, MN on September 11, 1981, the son of Jane (Fisher) Valencia and Douglas Clark, Sr. Douglas lived in Ponsford, MN before moving to Minneapolis as a child. Douglas went to high school at the City in Minneapolis on Lake Street and then attended Leech Lake Tribal College for two years. He loved sports and was a loyal Vikings fan. His sense of humor was crazy, hence his nickname, Doug Funny.

Douglas is welcomed to the spirit world by his grandmothers; Sara Clark-Basswood and Shirley Dunn and his grandfather; Glen Fisher, Sr.

He leaves behind his children; Anjessa Clark and Douglas Clark III, his parents; Jane (Fisher) Valencia and Douglas Clark, Sr., grandson; Chaeton River Handy, brothers; Bryan Sr., Frederick Sr., and Duane Fisher, Lorenzo Fisher-Valencia and Anthony Clark, sisters; Carolina and Marta Valencia, Alyssa, Lacey and Andrea Clark and LeeAnne Jones, uncles; Glen "Tuffy" Fisher and Clarence Clark, Jr., aunts; Patsy Fisher, Mary Lou Clark, JoAnn Annette, Barb Clark, Edith Clark and Betty (Pete) Robbins, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a lot of good friends.

The wake for Douglas will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Friday, October 1st all taking place at the Prescott Community Center in Cass Lake, MN. Melvin and Andy Goodwin will be his Spiritual Advisors. Pallbearers for Douglas will be Joel Sanchez, Justin Poitra, Miguel Carmona, Brian Vasquez, Robbie Head and Rell Sayers. His honorary pallbearers are Wayne Fisher, Sr., Glen "Tuffy" Fisher, Anthony Smith, Michael Jones, Douglas Clark III, Anthony Clark and all his family and friends. Interment will be in the Thompsonville Family Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following his Friday services.
