Richard Dale Mason, age 71, of St. Francis, MN journeyed to the Spirit World on September 20, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on March 20, 1950 in Red Lake, MN the son of Ambrose Mason and Adele Sumner.

Richard leaves behind his spouse Elverna Baptiste; sisters Geraldine, Melvina and Louella; his children:

Lindsay (Devin), Hila, Felina (Steve) and Lance; grandchildren: Jonathan (Brynn), Alena, Alicia (Diago); Haylie; Aaliyah; Taden, Hayden, Avery, twins Taylor and Talise; great-grandchildren: Koda, Kato and one on the way, cat buddy Little Mason; 2 fur grand-pups: Bezhig and Scully; additional son Clayton Oothoudt and his children Amber and Haylie; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Ambrose and Adele Mason of Red Lake, MN; brothers Fred and Paul; sisters Wilma, Charlene, Eleanor and Janice; and special nephew Frances.

An all-night wake will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, MN beginning at 4:00 PM and continuing until 9:00 AM Friday, September 24th.

Interment on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oak View Cemetery in St. Francis, MN.

Honorary casket bearers will be Kevin Jackson, Mitch Walking Elk, Floyd Jourdain, Ronnie Mason, Ernie Bloom, Tim Oothoudt., Clayton Oothoudt, Terry Mitchell and Jason Chappel.

Casket bearers are Lindsay Mason, Lance Mason, Jonathan Mason, Steve Tholen, Cerrone Baptiste and Doug Fairbanks
