FOOD SERVICE COOK

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible to organize, prepare, and serve meals on a daily basis and preform all task related to food service. Must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well prepared meals. Reports to Food Service Manager. Full-time with benefits, Salary; DOQ
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
• Willingness to assist where needed and the ability to establish good working relationships
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., preform repetitive movements and bend
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Preform additional duties as requested by Food Service Manager
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• ServSafe certified preferred or must be willing to take the ServSafe course
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Abide by the Oshkiimaajitahdah Zero tolerance policy and confidentiality policy
• Culinary school or other formal training program which may include a community college, vocational school or on the job training; and/or previous experience with food service operations or commercial kitchen and able to operate kitchen equipment is preferred
