Minnesota Public Radio Announces Activities for MPR Day at the State Fair, Sept. 3

ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 6, 2021 – Minnesota State Fair goers are welcome to join in on the fun of MPR Day on Friday, Sept. 3, at the fairground’s Dan Patch Park. MPR Day will feature a day of free performances and conversations open to all fair attendees.

9-9:45 a.m. YourClassical Storytime | YourClassical presents a live version of its popular online series for children.

10-10:45 a.m. Radio Heartland Presents Turn Turn Turn | The Current’s Radio Heartland presents a special performance from Turn Turn Turn with music from their debut album Can’t Go Back

11 a.m.-Noon. YourClassical Presents Bring the Sing with Cantus | Beloved Twin Cities choral group Cantus performs

12:15 p.m.-1 p.m. MPR News featuring Angela Davis & Cathy Wurzer | Davis and Wurzer discuss upcoming programming changes at MPR News and what audiences can expect.

1:15-2 p.m. The Current Presents David Huckfelt | David Huckfelt of The Pines performs songs from his new solo album Room Enough, Time Enough

2:15-3:15 p.m. The Current Presents Annie Mack | Rochester musician Annie Mack will bring her band to Dan Patch Park for an hour-long performance.

3:30-5 p.m. The Twin Cities Beer Choir | The Beer Choir invites you to sing along with some of their favorite beer hall songs.
