Merle Jonathan Iverson

Merle Johnathon Iverson (John) age 58, journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Hennepin County Medical

Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born on November7, 1962 the son of Clinton Iverson Sr. and Rosemary Coshenet.

John was a loving, caring son, brother, father, grandfather anduncle. He grew up in south Minneapolis, Minnesota with his

mother and siblings who he loved dearly. He worked in maintenance at an apartment building in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Most of all he enjoyed and loved spending time with his family. He liked being outdoors, listening to music, enjoyed good

jokes, was very laid back and kind hearted. He always gotalong with everyone and was loved by all that knew him.

He is survived by daughters: Donna Jones, Toni Smith, Casey Cortes and Samantha Engler; sons: Damien Smith, and

John Jay Iverson; sister: Lisa Bee; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and

friends.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents: Clinton and Rosemary; brother: Clinton (Bill) Iverson; sisters: Deborah

(Debi) Grochow, Victoria (Lois) Carlson; daughter: Myra Smith; special friend: Deborah (BG) Smith; special brother:

Michael Smith.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. with Spiritual Advisor: Black Crow, Richard Wright officiating a memorial service beginning at 4:00 P.M. at the Church of the Gichitwaa Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
