Red Lake Youth Council Holds Pride Event in Red Lake - P2

On Saturday, June 26, 2021 the Red Lake Youth Council held their Pride Event in Red Lake.

Huge shout out to the Red Lake Youth Council members that made this possible and took their time right down to the small details. Especially for staying back and making sure to clean up all areas that we utilized in the community.

Thanks to the Indian and Free Program staff, Red Lake Chemical Health, RC Soundz, Big Stone ENT., Subway of Red Lake, and Nei Bottling of Bemidji for their services to make this event happen.

Special shoutout to Red Lake Rep. Robert "Bob" Smith for attending today and showing support for the youth's goals.

Lastly, thanks to everyone who walked or ran, those who drove by with honks of support, and to everyone for listening to us as we worked towards bringing awareness and education about the LGBTQ+ community to light in Red Lake. This was our first event of the year and it was a success! Miigwech

The Red Lake Youth Council shall provide a collective voice and represent the tribal youth in all matters that concern them.
