PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position will be responsible for managing the Buffalo Farm in caring and maintaining the buffalo and agricultural area. Reports to the Director of Oshkiimaajitahdah, full time position with benefits, Salary; DOQ.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Assist Buffalo/Hemp Farm Manager in caring for the buffalo;

• Facilities cleaning – Clean out barns and keep area clear of snow and debris, keep feeding area clean;

• General Buffalo care as in making their hay feeder is full at all times, they have salt blocks in all areas of the pasture and mineral tub is visible and clear of snow and debris;

• Tractor handling, skid steer operation;

• Drive Farm Truck for local pickup and deliveries;

• Assist with building and maintaining a corral for the buffalo;

• Support all labor projects on the farm;

• Work with trainers/trainees/apprentices

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training

• Physically capable of handling job requirements and working long hours when needed.

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/A1cohol Test and Background Check.
