Sanford Bemidji offers walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations

Starting Tuesday, June 1

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Sanford Health will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations on a walk-in basis starting Tuesday, June 1 at the Sanford Bemidji Walk-in Clinic—1611 Anne Street NW, Bemidji, Minn. 56601.

Anyone who is 12 years-old or older and would like a vaccine at the Walk-in Clinic can schedule their vaccine through MyChart, by calling (218) 333-4704 or by walking into the clinic and requesting one between 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday-Saturday.

Being a patient of Sanford Health is not a requirement. The COVID-19 vaccines are at no cost to the recipient.

Those receiving a COVID-19 vaccination at a Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota location during May 27-June 30 will also be eligible for the recently announced MN vaccine rewards.

What to expect

People will be observed on-site for 15 minutes after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. The most common side effects are injection site pain, soreness and swelling.

Preferences for which brand of vaccine a person receives will not be accepted. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine does not require a second booster dose.

Due to current manufacturer age restrictions, those who are 12-17 years-old may not receive the Johnson and Johnson vaccine or the Moderna vaccine, however they may receive the Pfizer vaccine.

If you are unsure about getting the vaccine or would like to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine, please call the Sanford Health Nurse Line—(800) 821-5167—or view the many helpful resources at sanfordhealth.org.
