From the Family of Larry Roy Sr. "Makade Binesi" Black Eagle

We'd like to take this opportunity to say "Miigwech" to the family and friends who took time out of their day to attend our dad's wake and service. To all of the helpers, the cooks in the kitchen, the fire keepers, all who sent flowers, sympathy cards; food, and to the ones who shared kind words, or even a good memory of our dad, with the family. It will never be forgotten.

We'd also like to send out many more "Miigwech's" to the Red Lake Nation Law Enforcement Center, for providing the beautiful escort for our dad's homecoming. It brought us tears to see all the flashing lights and cars lined up, honoring him. He was always proud to be a member of Red Lake Law Enforcement. And also, to our Native Soldier's, the Red Lake Nation Three Star Warrior Society, for the heart touching hand and gun salute, from the bottom of our hearts, we will always be in debt for the service, and for the sacrifice you've all given for our Great Indian Nation, and our country.

To Jourdain-Perpich Extended Care's Bethany R., Kristen H., Bill P., Kelly S., Amber J., Cierra, Misty, Joshua, Jessy, Brent, "Larry's Jessy", Bonita H., Rosie B., C. Price, Jessica T., Gaia, Terri, and the Morgan's., also included, Hester G., and April B., "Miigwech" for being great friends, and for the care you provided for our dad throughout his stay there. Your friendship with The "Roy" Family will forever be cherished.

And at last, but surely not the least, to our dad's nephew's, cousins, Naabek Liberty and Alvin Lovelace, "Miigwech" for the traditional advising and send off you assisted the family with. We truly believe he wanted it this way, and feel, that even in death, he tried to teach us all he could, right to the very end.

Please forgive us if there's anyone we haven't listed. There were many people who helped our family in some way, throughout our difficult time. Letting go of our dad was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do, but, we know in our hearts, he's where he wanted to be.

~Rest in beautiful peace Dad, we will one day see you again~
