Ryan "Koop" Lee Hegstrom, 25, of Redby, MN died Friday, May 7, 2021 at Sanford Fargo Medical Center.

Traditional Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 14, 2021 at the new Redby Community Center. A wake will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday May 12 and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake. The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji assisted the family.

Ryan was born September 6, 1995 in Bemidji, MN the son of Richard Strong, Sr. and Elizabeth Hegstrom. He was raised and educated in Red Lake. He loved to listen to music, UFC fighting, he also enjoyed playing video games. He loved basketball. He also loved hanging out with his friends, he mostly loved being with his family especially his 'lil boy Jaxon. Ryan will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Hegstrom,

Father Richard Strong, Sr.,

children Ryder, Ryan, Jr., and Jaxon Grant,

grandparents Ruby Whitefeather and Louis Hegstrom,

siblings Rhianne Strong, Destiny Strong and Natalie Wilson,

and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Irene and Patrick Smith, grandparents, Jennifer Smith and Marvin Strong, Sr., his baby brother Richard Strong and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Honorary casketbearers will be Robin Anderson, David Johnson, Damien Anderson, Justin Johnson, Sean Lussier, Lakeisha Stately, Zack Morrison, Ira Lussier.

Active casketbearers will be Shaun Fineday, Tyrone Schoenborn, Brad Larson, Jack Johnson, Dale Whitefeather, Courtney Whitefeather, Patrick Strong and Dalton Defoe.
