Darlene Mae Johnson

July 29, 1997 ~ May 5, 2021 (age 23)

Darlene Mae Johnson was born to Teresa Solis and Andrew Johnson Sr. on July 29, 1997 in Minneapolis, MN. Dalene Mae Johnson was given the name Waa Waa Te Ikwe, meaning Northern Lights Woman. Darlene, lovingly known as Mama Dar, had no children of her own, but she did have her dog, Percy, who she loved beyond words. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy, she did whatever she could to help take care of them. She worked as an associate in the Players Club at Cedar Lakes Casino. She was a hard worker and loved by her coworkers and guests. She also worked at the Walker Hotel, a second job she recently started.

Darlene was a unique, creative, respectful, and honest person. She had many talents, including beading, drawing, painting, and singing. She loved doing her hair and make-up. She was also very photogenic. Darlene had a big heart and loved all her family. She was the type of person that will always listen to your every problem, even if she was having problems of her own. You could always count on her to brighten up your day. Her enthusiasm and humor will be missed every day. Her smile and laugh will be missed every day. Her comfort and love will be missed every day.

Darlene is survived by her mother, Teresa Solis; her father, Andrew Johnson Sr; her stepfather, William Badboy; two sisters, Tre'Lynne (Raven White) Badboy, and Lauren Nelson; six brothers: William (Carolina Valencia) Johnson Sr., Andrew Johnson Jr., Anthony Johnson Sr., Michael Johnson, Tristian Beaulieu, and Frank Bigbear Jr .; and her grandmother, Roberta Peterson.
