Dawny Marie Stevens, 33, of McIntosh, Minnesota died on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Avera Mckenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

A wake will begin on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Communtiy Center and continue until the time of the service. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake, Minnesota. Interment will be held at St. Philip's Episcopal Cemetery in Rice Lake, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Dawny was born on March 1, 1988 in Belcourt, ND, the daughter of Lynn Lafountain of Belcourt, ND and Duane Stevens of Rice Lake, MN. Dawny grew up in St. John, ND where she attended school. She then moved to Belcourt, ND where she finished school. She enjoyed going to the casino, listening to music, and watching cartoons with her kids. She loved dressing up and drawing. She enjoyed being with her family. She loved being with her cousins, Racheal Demery. She met her significant other, Dylan Kross and moved to McIntosh, MN where they were raising their two kids together.

Dawny is survived by her mom, Lynn Lafountain; her dad, Duane Stevens; her grandma Gloria Crissler, Lita Stevens; her six children, Demarion, Deija, Damion, Dakotah, Saphina, and Kaisen; her brothers, Dwight Hill, Bruce Bercier, Chance Brunelle and Aaron Stevens; her sisters, Emily (Bryce) Azure, Shanae Brunelle, and Tiffany Brunelle.

She was preceded in death by her grandpas, Wilfred Houle and Donald Stevens; her baby sister, Colleen; and her uncle, Jimmy Hill.

She will be missed and loved by many.
