Georgia Lee (Stately) Beaulieu

Georgia Lee (Stately) Beaulieu, "Migiziikwe" ~ "Eagle Woman", age 62, began her spiritual journey on Friday, April 9th, 2021 at Red Lake Indian Hospital in Red Lake, Minnesota. She was born to Leon George Stately and Vera M. (Maxwell) Goben on August 24th, 1958 in Red Lake, MN.

Georgia graduated from Red Lake High School in 1976 and continued her education in healthcare. She began her career as a nurse's aid in 1977, transitioning to Nursing Secretary, keeping track of C.E.U.s, arranging travel, time, and other duties. Her main goal was to retire from I.H.S. which she did in 2012 after thirty-five years of service. She received many awards during her years of service at I.H.S.

On October 9th, 1982, Georgia married Gerald "Bud" Beaulieu in Redby, MN. Together they were blessed with four children: Jerel Lee Stately, Lee Andrew Beaulieu, Samantha R. Beaulieu, and Alisha R. Beaulieu. She had ten grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of whom she loved dearly. Her grandchildren called her, "Mutter", and very seldomly "Grandma." She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Georgia was a very private person with many family and friends. She loved reading and studying and enjoyed watching her detective stories on television. Her passion for reading included many subjects, such as history, theology and more. Her favorite author was Stephen King and had to have all his new releases.

Family that Georgia has reunited with are her daughter, Samantha Rae Beaulieu; great grandson, Keenan Beaulieu, Jr .; and her father, Leon "George" Stately, Sr.

She leaves behind her husband of forty years, Bud Beaulieu; children, Jerel Stately, Lee Beaulieu, Alisha Beaulieu; mother, Vera Goben; siblings, Vicki Stately, David Lyons, Angela Stately Jourdain, Jesslyn (Stately) Dumont, Johanna Stately, Leon G. Stately, Jr., Gary Lee Stately; and ten grandchildren.

An overnight wake for Georgia will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 12th and continue until her 10:00 a.m. service on Tuesday, April 13th all to be held at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Pall bearers will be Jerel Stately, Lee Beulieu, Gary Stately, Johanna Stately, Craig Oakgrove, and Corey Wipf. Her honorary pallbearers are Eve Beaulieu, Jessie Dumont, Sharon Oakgrove, Mary Ann Cook, Erma Beaulieu, Vera Goben, and Rhonda Wipf. Inurnment will be at a later date and time.
