American Working Families Action Fund launches ad and grassroots advocacy campaign in support of President Biden's American Jobs Act

Washington, DC – The American Working Families Action Fund (AWFAF) today launched an advertising and grassroots advocacy campaign urging Congress to pass President Biden’s American Jobs Act. The “America Strong – BuildbackUSA.com” initiative is expected to last until Congress votes on the American Jobs Act.

AWFAF has deployed http://www.BuildBackUSA.com, a website that allows anyone in the country to directly lobby their own elected officials via e-mail, phone call, and with a personally recorded video. Three digital/television ads have been produced and began running today to encourage Americans to lobby their own Members of Congress.

Two of the ads specifically target the constituents of Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senator Susan Collins (R-ME). The campaign will begin with digital and Facebook ads. Television ads are expected to begin later this spring as the final legislation is drafted and delivered to the House and Senate.

“The American Jobs Act will do more than just rebuild the crumbling infrastructure across our country. It will rebuild the middle class that has been left behind and forgotten for over a generation,” said AWFAF spokesperson Chris Keohan. “Passing the American Jobs Act should not be a partisan effort, but a patriotic duty. Millions of new jobs will be created by making desperately needed investments in our roads, rails, bridges, ports, health care, emerging industries -- and many other areas that are essential to protecting our country’s future.”

“Now is the time to invest to keep America strong while improving the future for millions of American working families,” continued Keohan. “If any congressional member fails to negotiate in good faith and works only as an obstruction to the American Jobs Act, we will make certain that their constituents know about it.”

About American Working Families Action Fund - American Working Families Action Fund is a social welfare advocacy group dedicated to putting American working families first. AWFAF supports policy and leaders that help working people -- and opposes people and policy that make life more difficult for working families. On the web: http://www.AmericanWorkingFamilies.com
