Xavier C. Westbrook

August 23, 1994 - April 1, 2021

Xavier C. Westbrook, aka Pedro, age 26, passed away at his home on April 1, 2021 in Hinckley, MN.

He was born in Minneapolis, MN to Desiree Ramos but was legally adopted at 15 months old to Delora Downwind and Larry Smallwood Sr.

He loved spending time with new ideas to do on the house, being he passed with his G.E.D. then went on to college and got a certificate for carpentry work. He was proud of and was currently enrolled in Pine City, MN at Pine Tech College.

He always said he loves you at every hello and see you later and always played with his younger nieces and nephews. When our mother passed away in 2009, he came with our sister Amber’s three kids Tyler, Hailey and Angel Dean Baby (whom he had never met). He lived since 2009 with his older sister Karla Downwind-Smallwood who cared for him, our sister Sherry, Xavier Little, Donnie Pepworth, Justin Downwind and John Robertson.

He is survived by his oldest sister Karla Downwind-Smallwood additional siblings Dean Downwind, Darrin Hill, Sherry Little, Xavier Little, Amber Downwind, Justin Downwind; nephews Dion BearsTail, Tyler Deane and Randy Barrett; nieces Nyomi Barrett and Tyra Barrett; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his mom Lora Downwind; dad Larry Smallwood; uncles Harlan, “Jumbo”, Kevin and “Windy” Downwind.

Funeral services for Xavier Westbrook will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Redby Community Center at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake, MN.

All night wakes will be held April 6 and April 7th beginning at 6 PM each night at Redby Community Center.
