Edward Charles Fisher, Sr.

Edward Charles Fisher, Sr,

July 29, 1985 ~ March 27, 2021 (age 35)

Edward Charles Fisher, Sr., of the Turtle Clan, was born on July 29th, 1985 in Hennepin County, Minneapolis, MN and began his journey to the spirit world, unexpectedly, from his home in Cass Lake, MN on March 27th, 2021. He was 35 years old.

Edward grew up in Cass Lake and lived a few of his younger years in Bemidji; where he and his brothers played baseball, basketball and wrestled. After a short time, he moved back to Cass Lake and enjoyed helping his dad with his race car so much that he put together his own car for Enduro racing, he named it F.B.C., the Fisher Boy Car. During his time in Bemidji, he and his brothers, Anthony and Chris, all shoveled and mowed lawns for their 51 customers. Eventually Edward graduated from Cass Lake-Bena High School and went to work for his father as a carpenter and equipment operator with all hands-on training. He was quick to learn, intelligent and a very strong young man.

When Edward was young, he and his siblings played outside until it was dark almost every day, something he taught his children too. Even to this day, he would go outside and play with his nieces and nephews. He built a special bond with his siblings and was always helping his sisters and brothers and checked on them daily. Edward was a very respectful and helpful young man who worked hard and enjoyed ricing, picking boughs and hunting side by side with his father. He was also known for waking everyone up with the sun....we love you son and you are deeply missed – Dad!

Together with his wife Lisa Fineday-Fisher, he had four children: Monica, Edward Jr., Charles and Jordan, who he loved and cherished every day. He often went without just to see his kids happy. As he became older, Edward had another son that he named Mikinok, which means Turtle.

Edward goes to rest with his biological grandparents, special auntie, Carla Dunn and numerous aunts and uncles.

He leaves behind his children; Monica, Edward Jr., Charles, Jordan and Mickey, father; Glen (Mary Jourdain) Fisher, Jr., mother; Sally Yanez, sisters; Alisha, Lucille and Tanya Fisher, brothers; Anthony and Chris Fisher, Dustin, Bryan and Brandon Johnson, grandpa; John Dunn, many nieces, nephews, a special friend and too many family members to name...the Thompson's, Tibbett's, Fisher's, Staples', Bobolink's, Yanez's, Dunn's and Arthur's were all his family.

The wake for Edward will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1st and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Saturday, April 3rd all being held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN.
