Defending Section 8A Champion Red Lake Lady Warriors falls to Fosston 57-43

The Fosston Greyhounds used an aggressive defense and a dominating effort under the boards to lead them to the home win over the defending Section 8A Champion Red Lake Warriors.

The Greyhounds out-rebounded the Warriors 42-19 as they advance to the Section 8A semifinals on Tuesday, March 23rd against the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers in Fosston (1480-AM/99.7 FM).

Taylor Kroening led Fosston with 18 points as the Greyhounds improve their overall record to 18-1. Kroening was one of five Greyhound players to pull down six rebounds in the game. Jenna Manecke led Fosston with 10 rebounds and also scored 8 points.

Rhoze McClain led Red Lake with 13 points. Mimi Bealieu added 12 points for the Warriors as they end their season with an overall record of 9-6. Fosston and Cass Lake-Bena did not play each other during the regular season.
