BLOOMINGTON CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU SECURES ONEHOCKEY WORLD TOURNAMENTS FOR 2021/2022

Bloomington, MN (March 15, 2021) – The Bloomington, MN Convention & Visitors Bureau secured a big win this week when OneHockey event holders selected the destination to hold the World's OneHockey Signature Invitational Tournament October 20-24, 2021 and January 26-30, 2022. The tournament will be played at the Richfield Ice Arena, which is home to the Minnesota Magicians, an NAHL franchise, and is located five minutes from Bloomington. Bloomington, MN is home to the world-renowned Mall of America®, a popular attraction for players and families visiting Minnesota.

International Teams attending are from; Latvia, Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, South Korea and our top U.S attending teams are listed below (each team is ranked in the top 20 under My Hockey Rankings); Chicago Mission, Pittsburgh Vengeance, Madison Capitols, New Jersey Selects (statewide tryout team), Anaheim Jr. Ducks, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, Detroit Little Caesars, Detroit Honeybaked, to name a few.

OneHockey is expected to bring in 48 teams and over 4000 fans for each event. The economic impact for each event is expected to reach 1.5 MM.
