Kelanna McClain hits 1000th career point in Lady Warriors 85-67 win over Kelliher-Northome

RED LAKE, MN - In their last meeting with Kelliher-Northome in Kelliher on February 25th, the Red Lake Lady Warriors lost to the Mustangs 75-58 in a game some called poorly officiated, and it was a game Kelanna McClain was not playing in due to an earlier injury. .In fact, the Lady Warriors were 5-0 until McClain was injured. They ended up losing three of their last four games.

It was a little different as the Mustangs came to Red Lake, at least in the second half of play. By the end of the first half they played to a 30-30 tie.

It was still a very well played game in the second half, until there was about five minutes left on the clock and the Lady Warriors were clicking on both offense and defense. They outscored the Mustangs 55-37 at the buzzer and won 85-67.

Kelanna McClain led Red Lake with 18 points, along with hitting her 1000th career point, followed by LaTayla and TeAndra adding Pemberton each hitting 17, and Serenity May adding 10.
